Dr. Cris Haltom has been a professional psychologist delivering psychotherapy services for 30 years.  She individualizes her approach to each person and family, drawing from many skills learned over the years. Her areas of specialty include interpersonal and family relationships, mood disorders, anxiety issues, and eating disorders. 

Dr. Haltom is also a speaker and educator. She gives workshops and lectures on clinical psychotherapy topics.

Over the years Dr. Haltom has helped people of all ages negotiate constructive change. Her belief is that everyone she treats has the capacity to make positive change at a pace set by each individual or family.  She encourages forward movement toward personally defined goals.

Blue Cross/Blue Shield: We are not in-network with BC/BS. However, we will provide you with a statement at the time of service that can be submitted to BC/BS for reimbursement.  Claim forms for Excellus and Empire BCBS are available upon request. Also, we are currently able to submit BCBS claims for clients electronically with the understanding that all payments are to be made to the insured (patient) only.

New York State Empire Plan:  As of March 31, 2018, our office is not in-network with The Empire Plan. However, we will provide you with a statement at the time of service that can be submitted to your insurer for reimbursement under out-of-network status.    As a second option, we can submit Empire Plan claims for clients electronically with the understanding that all out-of-network payments will be made to the insured (patient).

Payment policy: Co-pays or full amount due at time of appointment.

Session fee: $130.00 or contracted rate with Aetna, Empire Plan, Health Now, UBH, or Medicare. Some fee adjustment is available, if needed.
